Black Lips announce summer tour in support of new album

nikos mxrs

In celebration of the release of their upcoming eighth studio album, Satan’s Graffiti or God’s Art, garage rock heroes Black Lips will be heading out on tour. The band will be heading out on the trail in early May and will perform shows at venues in Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Montréal, Toronto, Detroit, St. Louis, Texas, Mexico City, New Orleans, Birmingham, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles and Eaglewood, CO’s own Gothic Theatre. Tickets for what is sure to be on this summer’s most exhilarating rock tours go on sale April 27.

Black Lips formed in 1999 as a gleefully rambunctious garage rock outfit. The group’s 2003 self-titled debut one critical acclaim for its throwback grittiness, ample attitude and sonic experimentation. Through relentless touring and the inclusion of blues, psychedelic, country and doo-wop influences to their signature sound, the band cultivated a devoted following. Still, despite their success, the Black Lips remain a gleefully rambunctious garage rock outfit.

Satan’s Graffiti or God’s Art is due out May 5 via Vice Records.
